Fumigènes Films est une société de production cinématographique indépendante créée en 2022, à partir de l’association du même nom créée en 2018. Nous défendons l’émergence d’auteur·rice·s aux visions du monde singulières, aux films hybrides et spontanés, à partir de gestes de cinéma qui sortent des schémas de production standards. Des films impromptus, à cheval entre les esthétiques de fiction et de documentaire, qui s’emparrent du réelet entendent faire résonner les ambivalences de l’époque présente. Fumigènes Films&nbsp;est également partenaire de la Résidence des 168 Heures, avec laquelle elle produit chaque année 3 films courts, tournés en Dordogne. Elle découvre avec le collectif ETNA, basé à Montreuil, la pratique cinématographique en 16mm. Marlène est membre du collectif Braquage, une association qui depuis 25 ans diffuse et promeut un cinéma singulier, dont la pratique artisanale se rapproche des arts plastiques; l'association s’intéresse aux formes expérimentales mais aussi à celles documentaires, à l’animation et au cinéma des origines. Elle y réalise Un mois après la nuit. Malandrin, son second court-métrage est présenté à Clermont-Ferrand. Aujourd'hui, elle coécrit avec différents auteurs tout en développant ses projets : elle tourne son troisième court-métrage, L’incendie du Cinq-Sept et développe son premier long-métrage, Les Avalanches. Elle mène aussi un travail de médiation en ateliers (centre pénitentiaire, association et lycée et école primaire).
